TMCJ Holds Children's Outreach In Siliguri

Here is an update from our TMCJ Director in India:

Last month we had 1st children program in Nakshalbari, Siliguri. We never thought that the children would gather in such huge number. There were more than 250 children in the program. They were so much excited and energetic.

I would like to share how it happened. I was just sharing my thought of having children program with one of local Pastor. He also shared the importance of leading children to Christ.

He said that one day he was traveling on auto rickshaw and there was a young boy arguing with a man. The quarrel grown in such condition that the young boy almost 11 years, shouted Children at Siliguri outreachto the man, “Don’t you think that I am just a little boy. I will kill you and go to jail.”

Pastor said he got very sad hearing such depressing pronounce from a little boy. The sound echoed for many days he said. When I shared about children program, he became so happy and realized it was the answer of his prayer.

When all the children gathered in that small church I felt that these souls are the possessions of the Kingdom of God .

Praise God! He loves little ones!

Thank you for your support, which made this outreach possible! Not a supporter? Click here to become one!

TMCJ Opens a Second International Office

In October 2006, under the direction of the team leaders Karmu and Homesh Mahat, 12 North Indian believers were commissioned and deployed fulltime to the unreached Nepali tribes living in the Assam region of North India.  Since the Nepalis make up over 70% of the population in this vastly beautiful and remote Himalayan region of North India, what better ambassadors of the gospel than these young and the zealous missionaries, all from various Nepali tribes and a traditions?

THE PLAN
Over the next five years, every Nepali village and town in Assam will be systematically reached by TMCJ India with:
-Gospel Arts programs featuring Nepali cultural dance and music
-AIDS/HIV prevention awareness - India ranks second in the world for HIV/AIDS existing cases.  TMCJ Int’l is working with a creative team to develop in India a specific prevention awareness drama and film script for the new North India team to use in their Gospel outreach strategy.
-A Live Stage Presentation of The Story
-An Evangelistic Invitation & Follow up of New Believers

MARIE’S REPORT

During this visit I was thrilled to view our brand new office headquarters which will house North India team members over the next five years. Together we planned the evangelistic activities, including a new “Crown of Thorns” film, AIDS/HIV Prevention Awareness Programs, and of course … THE STORY presentations throughout North India.

THE JOURNEY
On October 27, the TMCJ India team traveled 5 hours by jeep up the (mostly unpaved!) mountainous roads to a remote village named Manglebaria, Sikkim, in North India.  The villagers had prepared an outdoor stage for the TMCJ India team, complete with a sound and lighting system and special stage effects.  Later, when the program began, the local school principal, who was a believer, leaned over to me and said, “This is miraculous, amazing; it is the first time my whole village has turned out for a Gospel presentation. Never has this happened before!!” He was overcome with pride and joy!  Team leaders Karmu and Homesh later told me this happens in every village to which they go!
