TMCJ & Tabernacle Church Take The Story to Ukraine

In March 2003, TMCJ International partnered with Tabernacle Church of Norfolk, Virginia, to take
The Story to Ukraine.  Using Russian costumes, props, soundtrack and dance created by the US team, the amateur team from Pastor Igor Tukai’s congregation, The Light of the Resurrection Church, was fully equipped and trained to minister the Gospel of Christ to their own people in their own culture.

Having been under the leadership of Tabernacle Church's missionaries Avie Carlisle and the late Cindy Megginson, this young team continues under Avie's guidance as they engage in presentations in their city during the Easter and Christmas season, as well as to the unreached people group of Russian-speaking Muslims located in the nearby Tatar villages.

During the summer months, they also minister The Story to the many tourists and youth camps along the resort region of the Crimea.
